Charles E. Escalera, 21, of Morganfield, was arrested Feb. 24 by Kentucky State Police and accused of killing Josiah Mala- chi Kilman, a fellow student and teammate on the college wres- tling squad.

A murder conviction in Kentucky can include life imprisonment or the death penalty. Kilman, an 18-year- old freshman from Montana, was found unresponsive in the dorm and his death was attributed to asphyxia- tion by manual strangu- lation, according to authorities. The Campbellsville Police was set at $2 million cash.
