Meet the USA football WAGs rooting for their men at Copa America 2024 (2024)

When the United States begins its Copa America slate on June 23 with a matchup against Bolivia, several glamorous wives and girlfriends of the team's players will be in the crowd cheering them on.

Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup - which will be hosted by the US and its neighbors - a good display at Copa America against some of the world's top teams is seen as crucial for the USMNT.

The USA is expected to qualify for the tournament's knockout stages after being drawn with Bolivia, Uruguay and Panama, with their first game takingplace in Arlington, Texas on Sunday.

However, in addition to their accolades on the field, many ofTeam USA's members have taken strides in their love lives too.

But who exactly are the women behind the sports stars? As the Copa América approaches, Mail Sport has taken a look into the US team's very glamorous partners.

While some of the women are private and do their best to stay out of the spotlight, others flaunt their lavish lifestyles which include luxury vacations, five-star resorts, upscale restaurants, elite parties, and of course, sitting sideline at their beau's games.

From their own careers and accomplishments to details on their relationships, here's everything you need to know about the WAGs of Team USA's soccer players in preparation for the upcoming tournament.

Christian Pulisic and Alexa Melton

Christian Pulisic sparked romance rumors withAlexa Melton in early 2024.

The AC Milan midfielder jetted home from Europe to his native Pennsylvania, where he was spotted with the golfer at the US Women’s Open in June.

The 23-year-old University of Southern California graduate shared an Instagram post after she failed to advance past her first two rounds.

'First US Open in the books and it exceeded every expectation,' she captioned the social media upload, which included a snap of her and Pulisic candidly laughing together in a parking lot.

The soccer star added fuel to the fire of the rumor mill when he cheekily commented, 'Crop top go crazy,' in reference to her outfit for the tournament.

Pulisic was later spotted on Melton's social media feeds practicing his golf swing.

The 25-year-old was hilariously seen mimicking a scene from Family Guy in a TikTok video with his apparent new girlfriend, as they played a round of golf with Pulisic's international teammate, Weston McKennie.

So who is his new leading lady?

Melton entered the world of professional golf after graduating from USC last year.

'Growing up playing softball, soccer, and now golf, I’ve always loved the thrill of competition. However, throughout college, I allowed outside factors and opinions to impact my perception of it,' she wrote in a lengthy Instagram post in 2023.

'What I once looked at with excitement and opportunity, I saw fear; fear of letting others down, fear of the repercussions and mistreatment, fear of not being perfect,' she admitted.

'Someone once said, “I can’t guarantee you’ll be a pro golfer by the time you leave USC, but I can guarantee you’ll be a grown a** woman,” but now I’m BOTH!!!!'

Weston McKennie andChiara Frattesi

Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi's 22-year-old sister, Chiara Frattesi, seemingly confirmed that she's dating Weston McKennie after posting a picture of the pair on social media, celebrating Juventus' Coppa Italia victory in May.

Chiara added a heart emoji to the picture, which showed the apparent couple celebrating on the field at Stadio Olimpico.

The pair were seen smiling and hugging, with the US Men's National Team star holding a huge bottle of Ferrari Trento while his winner's medal draped around his neck.

Although it was the first, and only, photo the model has posted withMcKennie,Italian outlet Il Messagero recently reported that she had been spotted atAllianz Stadium earlier in the season.

Eagle-eyed fans also noticed thatChiara recently postedtwo pictures of herself with a husky on Instagram, which the outlet speculated may belong to McKennie.

Gio Reyna andChloe Ortolano

Less than one month before the Copa América tournament kicked off, Gio Reyna popped the question to his girlfriend, Chloe Ortolano.

The Connecticut native is also a talented soccer star who has played as a midfielder and defender throughout her high school and college career.

Although Ortolano's social media accounts are private, her stats on the pitch speak for themselves.

While attending Brien McMahon High School, she marked an impressive 52 goals under her name.

She continued playing for the Providence Friars Women’s Soccer Team throughout university, where she scored an additional 49 goals.

Ortolano and Reyna are believed have crossed paths for the first time in 2020, and made their relationship public the following year.

The soccer star occasionally posts Instagram snaps of the duo together, most recently sharing pics from their romantic engagement.

'Forever,' he sweetly captioned the photos.

Sean Johnson and Marissa Horton

Sean Johnson from Lilburn, Georgia, played soccer at the University of Central Florida, but left early after he was drafted by Chicago Fire in 2010. He then switched to New York City FC in 2016, and now, he is set to play goalkeeper at the upcoming World Cup for the US team.

He is currently dating a woman named Marissa Horton, who is originally from Washington, DC, but now lives in New York City.

Marissa, a graduate ofPurchase College, is a successful dancer, who has performed as part of the Radio City Rockettes multiple times.

The pair has been together since 2014, and they often shared adorable pictures together on their respective Instagram accounts.

'Happy Valentine’s Day to this beautiful and talented queen that holds me down,' Sean gushed about Marissa back in February.

And on Valentine's Day in 2018, he wrote, 'You inspire me, you push me toward my dreams... All the sacrifices and small things you do never go unnoticed.'

Matt Turner and Ashley Herron

Matt Turner from Park Ridge, New Jersey, played for Fairfield University during college. After he graduated, he joined New England Revolution in 2016. In February 2022, he was transferred to the UK team Arsenal, but now, he is set to play goalkeeper for the US team at the World Cup.

Matt is married to a woman named Ashley Herron. They tied the knot in May of this year, and welcomed a baby boy, namedEaston Atwood Turner, on June 29.

'This was by no means an easy process! Easton had some trouble with his breathing when he came out into the world and because of that had to spend three days in the NICU,' the soccer player revealed after the birth.

'We struggled to process everything, and we are sure many parents have gone through similar and even scarier situations.

'Our Easton showed us resilience and strength and he fills our heart with so much love and joy, emotions so deep we’ve never experienced anything like it.

'Thank you to the doctors and midwives who took excellent care of him, and everyone for the kind messages over the last few days! Welcome to the world little man, we owe you everything.'

The couple often posts touching tributes for one another on social media, and just last week, Matt took to Instagram to commemorate Ashley's birthday.

'A Mother, a wife, a coffee date and dessert lover, a dog mom, and my rock,' he wrote. 'I have so much respect for how well you wear all these different hats and more.

'Being married to a guy like me isn’t always the easiest, it has and will continue to require a lot of sacrifice, thank you for that, and all you do for our little family. You are the glue that makes it all work.'

Ashley is a NFL cheerleader who performed for the New England Patriots at the 2017 Super Bowl.But aside from her cheerleading career, Ashley has many other impressive achievements.

According to her LinkedIn, she got her Bachelor's degree in Biology (Pre-Med) and Communication Arts (concentrated in writing) from Gordon College and her Master's in Business Management fromHarvard University.

She began her career working as a marketing manager for an insurance claims firm before becoming the Director of Marketing at BMAX Strong in 2017.

Ashley is also the President and founder of the non profit organization Miss Pink, which 'supports families suffering from breast cancer by providing funds to cover costs of medical bills and basic necessities during times of treatment.'

Tim Ream and Kristen Sapienza

Tim Ream from St. Louis, Missouri, played for Saint Louis University, but he also played for Chicago Fire Premiere during his college years. He was drafted to New York Red Bulls in 2010, before signing to England's Bolton Wanderers in 2012.

He was sold to the English team Fulham in 2015, and now, he will play defender for the US team at the upcoming World Cup.

He and his wife-of-10-years, Kristen Sapienza, are very private when it comes to their relationship - she doesn't use social media and he has only shared one photo with her on his account.

They got together during college, since they both played soccer for St. Louis.In an interview with NewYorkRedBulls.com, Tim explained that he was instantly drawn in by her 'smile' and 'great personality.'

'The first thing I noticed about her was her smile. I’m not sappy like that, but I really noticed how amazing her smile was,' he gushed.

'I said, "Wow." But she also has a great personality, she’s always fun to be around whether we’re doing something or just chilling. And the conversations are great – whether we’re talking deep or talking about a whole lot of nothing.'

The two got engaged two years into their relationship, and tied the knot in January 2012.Tim recalled proposing to Kristen after a romantic stroll in Hoboken, New Jersey, with a view of Manhattan across the river.

He said she had complained about not being able to see the skyline clearly, when he responded, 'The important stuff isn’t out there, it is right here,' as he got down on one knee.

'After some screaming, she did say yes,' he continued. 'We hugged and kissed and then she called her parents.'

According to ZGR.net, Tim actually canceled his honeymoon with Kristen - which was supposed to take place in Tahiti - so he could sign to Bolton. But his wife was allegedly supportive of his decision, since she understood the seriousness of his job.

The couple have welcomed three children together over the years, named Aiden, Theodore, and Lila.Back in May, Tim shared a rare photo with his family after winning the Sky Bet Championship.

'I try to keep my private and public lives separate but last night was a special occasion that calls for a special post,' he wrote at the time.

Antonee Robinson and Darcy Myers

Antonee Robinson from Milton Keynes, England, joined Everton's academy in 2013. He was transferred to Wigan Athletic in 2019, before switching to Fulham in 2020.

He gained American citizenship through his father, who, while born in England, was raised in New York. He is going to play defender at the World Cup for the US team.

Antonee has been dating a woman named Darcy Myers since 2019. Then, they announced that they were expecting a baby girl together in October 2021.

Their daughter was born in December of that year, named Atlas, but they have yet to share her face on social media.

When they celebrated their third anniversary in January 2022, Antonee took to Instagram to post a heartfelt message to his girlfriend.

'Three years later and not a day goes by that I don’t feel blessed to have met you. Happy anniversary my love,' he said.

The couple became engaged on Darcy's birthday in March 2022, with the athlete writing on Instagram at the time: 'Happy Birthday to my beautiful FIANCÉE. Me And Atlas couldn’t be luckier to have you. Love you always.'

He shared some photos from the proposal, which showed him down on one knee surrounded by rose pedals in front of huge light up letters that said, 'Marry me?'

Darcy, who doesn't have many posts on her social media, lives a relatively private life, so it's unclear what she does for work.

Joe Scally and Ryan Chaisty

Joe Scally from Lake Grove, New York, made history when he became the second youngest professional soccer player in the United States at age 15, after signing with New York City Football Club. He then joined Germany's Bundesliga in 2019.

It's appears that Joe and his girlfriend, Ryan Chaisty, both attended the same school, and based on her Instagram account, it seems that they started dating in May 2018.

While Joe doesn't use social media much, Ryan often posts loved up pictures with the soccer star.

'Happy birthday to my person, thanks for always being you,' she wrote in December 2018. 'I love you the most.'

And in honor of their anniversary in May 2019, she gushed, 'Yay. One year with my favorite person. I love you forever and ever.'

When he was playing in Germany, shejetted off to see him in the European country on more than one occasion, and he flew to America to attend prom as Ryan's date in July 2021.

Brenden Aaronson and Milana D'Ambra

Brenden Aaronson from Medford, New Jersey, played for Indiana University before joining Bethlehem Steel FC in 2017. He then joined the Philadelphia Union in 2019, before switching to the Austrian team Red Bull Salzburg in 2021.

In May 2022, he was transferred to Leeds United in the UK, after singing a five-year contract. He then played as a midfielder for the US team at the World Cup.

He's currently in a relationship with a woman named Milana D'Ambra, who he started dating in September 2018. Like Brenden, Milana is a soccer player. She currently attendsTemple University inPhiladelphia, where she graduated in 2023.

The couple is often posting PDA-filled snaps together online. Back in 2020 in honor of Brenden's birthday, Milana gushed: 'Happy birthday bestfriend. So proud of the person you are and so excited to see where the next chapter in life takes you, lucky to love ya always.'

'Two years with the person who makes life feel like a dream,' she wrote in 2020 to commemorate their anniversary. 'Forever blessed, love you lots always.'

'Being by your side while you chase your dreams has been the biggest privilege. I couldn’t be more proud of the person and player you are and I cannot wait to see you flourish at your new home,' she said on Instagram, after he was transferred to Leeds.

Tyler Adams and Sarah Schmidt

Tyler Adams, from Wappinger, New York, played for Red Bulls Academy at age 13, 14, and 15, before signing with New York Red Bulls in 2015.

He then joined the German teamRB Leipzig in 2019, before transferring to Leeds United in 2022.

The athlete started dating a German woman named Sarah Schmidt in 2019, and they couldn't be cuter together. The couple often jet off on lavish vacations together, visiting places like Spain, Switzerland, Germany, and Berlin, all within the last few years.

And according to Tyler, spending time with Sarah during his off time helps 'recharge' him to do his best on the field.

'So grateful to have gone home, seen my family, relax, and recharge. Always important to switch off and be with the ones closest to you,' he captioned an Instagram post of him and his girlfriend in July 2021. 'Ready to get going again now.'

On her own account, Sarah said she was 'lucky to be by his side' in a sweet post in honor of his birthday earlier this year.

'Happy Birthday Tyler. To another year of working hard while doing what you love,' she gushed. 'I’m lucky to be by your side and watch you do it. Sky is the limit. ILY.'

She added in another post in July: 'There’s nothing better than watching you do what you love. I can’t wait to see everything you do in this next chapter. Always your number one fan.'

While it is unclear what Sarah does for work, Tyler is just as supportive of her career as she is of his.

'To the most special person, happy birthday. Keep following your dreams and being the light in everyone’s life. You inspire me every single day and I’m lucky to share the best moments in life by your side,' he wrote on Instagram in November 2021. 'So much love for you everyday.'

Josh Sargent and Kirsten Lepping

Josh Sargent from O'Fallon, Missouri, joined Germany's Weder Breman in 2017. He left the team four years later, in 2021, to play for Norwich City in England.

He is married to a woman named Kirsten Lepping, and according to DoveClove.com, they started dating while they both attended the same high school.

The two become engaged in August 2020. At the time, Kirsten announced that they were gearing up to get married via her Instagram, writing, 'Forever babe,' with a ring emoji, alongside a snap of them kissing.

They announced they were expecting a child together in October 2021, and welcomed a daughter, named Romy Sargent, on January 13, 2022

The couple have kept many of the details regarding their romance under wraps, as he doesn't use social media and she only has 17 posts on her account.
